The adoption, ongoing development and integration of product/process quality management systems are in line with the company’s mission to ensure customers are provided with quality, reliable products.

PRODUCT CERTIFICATION - EN 1090-1

MPL holds certification in accordance with EN 1090-1 standard for steel and aluminium structures and is authorised to provide structural components belonging to execution class EXC4 i.e. the maximum class stipulated in this legislation. The European standards framework has introduced compulsory CE marking throughout Europe in relation to the manufacture and sale of all construction materials, or materials destined for use or installed definitively in constructions.

CE marking is required to ensure the free circulation of products manufactured in the EU, and represents an approved method for assessing, testing, calculating, illustrating, guaranteeing and declaring the performance levels of a construction product. Each supply delivered by MPL has the required Performance Declaration supported by a traceability list with the relevant test certificates issued by the raw material manufacturer attached.

PERSONNEL ACCREDITATION

Personnel carrying out welding and/or studding hold certificates attesting to their suitability for these operations. Personnel who test welds also hold a special qualification.

COMPLIANCE WITH LEGISLATION

MPL holds a work commencement certificate issued by the Central Technical Department in compliance with the provisions of Italian Ministerial Decree of 14/01/2008 - Technical Standards for Constructions, even though it does not apply to most of the procedures implemented, which are covered by EN 1090-1 certification.

SURFACE COATINGS - ZINC-PLATING, PAINTING AND SANDBLASTING

All surface coating processes on components provided by MPL have relevant Conformity Declarations in accordance with legislation, attesting to the quality of the product supplied.

PROCESS ACCREDITATION –
WELDING AND STUD WITH SHEAR CONNECTORS

The processes used by MPL suppliers to create material being welded and/or studded are endorsed by a third party.
